Riding here
Olympic's standout ride is the Spruce Railroad Trail, a 10-mile paved path on the north shore of Lake Crescent, built on an old railroad grade with two restored tunnels and part of the long-distance Olympic Discovery Trail. Road riders tackle the long climb up Hurricane Ridge Road. Elsewhere, bikes are limited to park roads.
Where you can ride
Bikes may use park roads, parking areas and designated routes such as the Spruce Railroad Trail.
Where you can't
Bicycles are not allowed anywhere else, including the park's hiking trails.

Car-free riding
The park has held 'Ride the Hurricane', a car-free cycling day on Hurricane Ridge Road, in past Augusts; check the park's news releases for whether it runs this year.
When to go
Summer is driest. The Spruce Railroad Trail is rideable much of the year at low elevation.
Safety
Expect rain at any time. On multi-use trails, yield to walkers and horses. Ride single file and pull aside when cars stack up.
E-bikes
The park's own bicycling page doesn't spell out e-bike rules. Under the NPS e-bike rule (36 CFR 4.30), an e-bike with working pedals and a motor under 750 watts is generally allowed where regular bikes are, and riding on the motor alone is barred anywhere cars can't go. Parks can restrict them, so confirm with the park before you bring one.
Fees
Arriving by bike, you pay the park's individual (per-person) entrance fee, normally valid for 7 days, or ride in on an annual or America the Beautiful pass. Amounts change, so check the park's Fees & Passes page.
